NYC, I need you.

This perfume sounds beyond divine. It's made by the Swedish, yes. It mixes vanilla with citrus, double yes. It's "unisex," meh. It keeps selling out - nothing could make me covet it more! Sadly, it wasn't brought to market in Ann Arbor. Why not? We're such a mecca of...well, some cool stuff but none of it fashion related. Damn.

Smoosh.

I love everything on this site, but this pillow wants to come home with me more than all the others.

Date Night

Not that I go on dates, but if I did...Marine One seems like a classy way to go.

Dear Mrs. O,

I love you. I love you with all of my heart. I love your strength and your honesty and your accomplishments and the way you have decided to make your years in the White House matter in substantive ways. I love the way you think about how intimidating your office must be to people and how you do your very best to make yourself real and human and approachable.

However, I hate this shirt that you're wearing. Really.

on a more serious note

I think this artist is brilliant and am grateful to the NYTimes, as always, for reaching for what needs to be shared. Please, read the entire entry here.

yay!

Weeks ago I emailed Old School Stationers because I fell in love with this print and had not a clue where to find it. They just sent a very friendly email back and are willing to sell it directly to me - hooray! I thought it would be a perfect whimsical print for the bathroom, to be honest.

A pet I can live with.

I have wanted one of these since I first saw them. A pet with no poo or fur or dander or saliva? Perfect. Click here for more info...if only they weren't waaaay out of my budget.

Equal Rights NOW!

Seriously, Garfunkel and Oates, thank you from the very bottom of my heart. Bugger off, Pat Robertson!!!!

Really?

This is a "cupcake" from Honey Baked Hams. It's, believe it or not, a honey cake cooked inside a slice of ham, topped with pineapple. I don't generally care for ham, but I might be willing to take a bite...

Why???

I bought a reusable tote/book bag last summer from Neal's Yard Dairy. The genius of it? A little patch pocket at the top on one side where you can keep your cell phone! This bag from bel kai designs is really cute, but WHERE IS MY POCKET????

Girlfriends are the best.

My genius friend Steph sent me cupcakes from Kyotofu-nyc for my birthday. Sadly (hah!), they accidentally sent me chocolate souffle cupcakes instead of the matcha ones she ordered. This meant that I ended up with TWO fabulous boxes of cupcakes. They are so beautifully packaged and were so tasty...I haven't been to the actual restaurant yet, but I think it will be like dying and going to heaven - if you believe such things are possible.

Here we go!

I'm hoping to make this a blog about things that make me laugh, that I find beautiful, that inspire me in one way or another. Wish me luck!
